In January 2015 there were 30 boys and 11 girls at the Home, aged between 4 and 18. All the children either attend the government village Elementary or High School or local 6th form colleges. The academic year in the schools and colleges starts in June and usually this is when any new children will be accepted into the Home. The children leave for a number of reasons, sometimes their parents circumstances improve or the family move to another area or sometimes their family think they are old enough to work and contribute to the family income. The children can stay to complete their education, including university, and then given help to find employment. The number of children is limited by the funds that are available and only if one child leaves can a new one take up residence in the Home. Between June and November 2013, 9 new children that entered the Home. The Home is run like a very large family, with the older children looking after the younger ones, but with Pastor Hezekiah in overall control and ensuring that all runs well.
